The Goal

3-Dimensional Health

Health does not arise solely from the examination of individual symptoms or individual body systems. Human beings are three-dimensional beings in whom structure, regulation, and relationships are inextricably linked.

MatrixTechnique© focuses on the physical dimension—the tissues, the fascia, mobility, and the spatial organization of the body. A well-functioning structure provides the foundation for communication and adaptability.

ImmunSymbiosis© expands this perspective to include the biological dimension: the interaction between the immune system, the microbiome, metabolism, and the diverse communication processes within the organism.

The third dimension describes the informative and regulatory level—the connection between the nervous system, perception, the environment, and the signals that guide the body’s adaptation.

Three-dimensional health, therefore, means understanding people as a holistic network:

Structure – Biology – Regulation

When these levels communicate with one another and are in balance, they form the foundation for the body’s natural adaptability and dynamic equilibrium.

The
Organ
of the immune system

Change begins where everything is interconnected. Connective tissue, fascia, and the lymphatic system form the network that reaches every cell and stores information from the immune system. That is exactly where Matrix Technique comes into play.

Fascia

The body's connective network

Although the term “fascia” has not yet been defined in a completely uniform manner, in the scientific literature it primarily refers to dense and highly structured forms of connective tissue. These include, among other things, ligaments, tendons, aponeuroses, and the coverings of muscles, joints, and organs. The inner linings of the body’s visceral cavities, such as the peritoneum (abdominal lining), are also classified as part of this fascial system.

Connective tissue

The Body's Matrix

Connective tissue forms the fundamental structural and supportive matrix of our body. It connects, supports, and surrounds various tissues and organs, and plays an important role in the exchange of nutrients and the removal of metabolic waste products.

According to the MatrixTechnique, various types of stress can accumulate in the connective tissue. The goal of the Matrix Technique is to support these structures, release stored stress, and stimulate the body’s natural regulatory and recovery processes.

Lymph

Stay in the flow

Connective tissue and fascia form an important foundation for lymphatic flow in the body. A balanced tissue structure supports the natural transport of fluids and metabolic byproducts through the lymphatic system.

MatrixTechnik aims to reorganize these tissue structures, thereby promoting the conditions necessary for harmonious lymphatic flow and optimal nourishment of the body.

It is only through the interaction of these three systems that a holistic functional unit emerges, one that permeates the entire body and performs essential functions related to exchange, adaptation, and immune regulation. The connective tissue, the fascia, and the lymphatic system should therefore not be viewed in isolation, but rather as an interconnected network.

This connection gives rise to an overarching structure with its own complex functions—a living organ that nourishes, regulates, and supports the body. Based on this understanding, we view connective tissue, fascia, and the lymphatic system as a single organ of the immune system.

Lymphatic Stasis – When the Natural Flow Is Blocked

The free flow of lymph is essential for the nourishment and regulation of our bodies. As Paracelsus once said, “There is only one disease—stagnation.”

If lymph becomes congested due to various factors such as acidosis, a high intake of animal protein, gluten, infections, toxins, or adhesions in the connective tissue, the body’s natural balance can be disrupted. According to the Matrix Technique, scars or emotional trauma can also affect tissue structures and lymphatic flow.

Impaired lymphatic circulation can manifest itself in a wide variety of areas of the body. The following symptoms and clinical presentations are often associated with it:

  • Excess weight (often more accumulated lymph than fat!)
  • Cellulite
  • Lymphedema, Lipolymphedema, Lipedema
  • Heart problems
  • Respiratory disease
  • Skin Diseases
  • Malocclusions
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Scar Adhesions
  • Joint pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatism
  • Back Pain
  • Heel Spur, Hallux
  • Headaches, Migraines
  • Tinnitus
  • Diabetes
  • Hormonal Imbalances
  • Infertility
  • Thyroid Problems
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Irritable Bladder / Prostate Problems

The Radix Edema

Lymphatic congestion in the posterior abdomen

With MatrixTechnik, we begin by working deep within the abdominal cavity. The intestine, as a central organ, often forms the first area of congestion in its lymphatic drainage system. In 1988, Dr. Weiss coined the term “radix edema,” which begins as central congestion in the posterior abdominal cavity and can increasingly displace the intestine.

We find radix edema in 9 out of 10 patients. It is essential to check for possible parasites, which may be “irritated” during a manual procedure in the abdominal cavity. Using ART, it must be determined whether and to what extent concurrent parasite treatment is necessary.

In addition, most fascial strands run through the lumbar region. In areas affected by radicular edema, they can become tense due to a lack of oxygen and nutrients. It’s no coincidence that most herniated discs and back problems occur in this area. Releasing tension in the abdominal cavity therefore often brings significant relief to the back.

Many scars also affect the abdominal cavity. Adhesions resulting from appendectomies, cesarean sections, hysterectomies, hernia repairs, umbilical adhesions, piercings, and similar procedures must be released.

In women, the blockage often forms deeper in the pelvis, which can subsequently affect the legs as well. This can lead to saddle bags, varicose veins, ankle swelling, and knee or hip problems. In these cases, we work while taking into account the pathways of the fascial strands, allowing the connective tissue to restructure itself.

A central blockage in the abdominal cavity can also have effects in the cranial region. It can lift the diaphragm and the rib cage, thereby leading to breathing difficulties or heart problems. The elevated rib cage must be stabilized at the neck by firming of the connective tissue.

The connective tissue in the neck can become so stiff that it impedes the drainage of fluid from the head. This can lead to increased intracranial pressure, accompanied by headaches or various neurological deficits, as well as impaired detoxification of the brain. Migraines, tinnitus, neurological symptoms, and MS may improve as a result.

Here, too, we release adhesions and tightness along the fascial tracts—in the neck, nape, and back—and allow the connective tissue to develop a new structure.

MatrixTechnique treatment

Clearing the blockage

Depending on the severity and duration of the symptoms, 2 to 3 treatments are initially performed over a period of 2 to 4 weeks. These treatments can often significantly improve lymphatic flow and the structure of the connective tissue, allowing the body to once again activate its own regulatory processes and continue on the path to healing.

If you have severe or persistent symptoms, additional treatment appointments may be necessary.

As a preventive measure, we recommend a MatrixTechnik treatment every 6 months. This allows new lymphatic congestion and adhesions in the connective tissue to be resolved early on, before they lead to symptoms.
