What does
ImmunSymbiosis mean?

The immune system consists of two interconnected components: the human component and the microbial component.

In order to process and integrate the millions of signals and influences that affect our bodies every day—through breathing, nutrition, touch, perception, and the environment—the immune system is regulated not only by the human body itself, but also by the microorganisms that live within us.

Microbes continuously provide biological stimuli. They can both trigger and regulate inflammatory processes. In symbiosis with the human body, they influence our immune function at various levels—from the regulation of proteins and metabolic processes to the control of gene activity.

The goal of this collaboration is not only to maintain health, but also to continuously adapt and further develop the entire system—a shared evolution of humans and microbes.

From the perspective of ImmunSymbiosis, chronic diseases can develop when these regulatory microbial signals are absent or become unbalanced. If important signals from microorganisms are missing, immune regulation can be disrupted: This can lead to either insufficient immune activation or an excessive, chronically activated inflammatory response.

This understanding contrasts with the historical view that has developed since the work of Louis Pasteur in the 19th century, which primarily regards microorganisms as the cause of disease. The modern perspective broadens this view: microbes are not merely triggers of disease, but essential partners in the regulation of biological systems.

From the perspective of ImmunSymbiosis, the path to recovery from chronic illness therefore requires support that takes into account both components of the immune system: the human and the microbial components.

The focus is on immunomodulation—restoring a functional ImmuneSymbiosis and thereby supporting the immune system’s natural regulatory capacity.

The concept of ImmunSymbiosis in diagnosis and treatment is modeled after a symphony. Just as in an orchestra, various elements must be coordinated with one another to create a harmonious whole.

In four sentences, we describe the process of restoring the connection between humans and microbes in the immune system.

Through complex chords, the individual instrumental groups are brought together to form a complete orchestra. It is only through the interplay of all these elements that a unified whole is created, in which each component fulfills its own function while remaining connected to the overall system.

Just as with a piece of music, we perceive this unity again and again from different perspectives. Depending on the situation, our mood, and our inner state, different facets of the same symphony may reveal themselves.

In the concept of ImmunSymbiosis, one, two, or three complex chords are selected—similar to the movements of a musical piece. Together, they form the individual symphony of regulation, stabilization, and regeneration.

1st Movement – Immunomodulation

Malfunctioning immune responses—including both overactive and underactive immune system responses—can cause symptoms and chronic health problems.

From the perspective of ImmunSymbiosis, chronic diseases are closely linked to disturbances in immune regulation.

2nd Movement – Symbiosis

The root cause of abnormal immune responses lies in a disruption of the immune system’s regulation.

Microorganisms play a symbiotic role in these regulatory processes and contribute significantly to the control of biological processes. If this microbial component of the immune system is damaged or thrown out of balance, regulatory processes may be incomplete or malfunction.

3. Movement – Interference Fields and Foci of Inflammation

Interference fields and existing sites of inflammation require targeted support to enable the restoration of ImmunSymbiosis.

They can affect the regulation of the entire system and therefore require special consideration in the treatment plan.

4th Movement – Regeneration

The final phase is devoted to the regeneration of the affected systems in the body.

The goal is to create the conditions for stable regulation and to restore coordination among all levels involved.
